| Question: 1)is it any side
afect using daonil tablet.2)Any chances to coming the Diabetes
for their childrens. |
Name: A. |
| Answer: The adverse effect of
any medication for diabetes is low sugar, if not properly
used.Glibenclamide has become controversial because of its
probable tendency to permanantly close potassium channels and
thus predispose to heart attacks.Still it is widely used
because it is cheap and more research is required to prove or
disprove its adverse effects. However glimepiride is free of
such problems. |

| Question: Sir,I am a diabetic
patient from last 3 years. It has come upto 231 after food.
Last two weeks when I check before food it showed once 213 and
225 but after food my count shows 156 and 168. why it is like
that. I check with machine. My friend also check with same
machine. It shows correct. I used to take normal foods. Doing
1 hour excercise every day. 3 months back I controlled and it
became almost normal. 98and 126 pre and post food. What is the
reason for present reverse count? |
Name: RAJU |
| Answer: Sir, Modern day
diabetes management focuses on fluctuations in the blood sugar
and normalising it.The blood sugar after food can be lower
because of medications and action of insulin. Also get proper
instructions from the doctor on the timing of medications,
since most of the diabetic medications are taken before
food. Thanks and make sure you control your sugars so that all
values are below 140mg%.jothydev |

Name: Mohamed |

seeing the pt.Glibenclamide has become controversial because

you have residual insulin left there is chance that you can be

| Question: I am a Diabetic
Patient. please give me a comprehensive food menu list. I can
include carrot in my menu ? |
Name: Basheer |
| Answer: In modern day diabtic
practice there is nothing called a diabetic diet.Your food
selection should be healthy enough for the whole family to
share. Each pt requirement will be different based on their
weight, activity level and medications. In case of raw carrots
1 cup has 11gm carb almost same as in a small iddli.Diabtic pt
can eat anything provided they know what they are doing and
sugar is fully under control. In our center those pts on
insulin pump eat like non diabetics (healthy food of course)
but maintain normal sugar levels. |

cure for diabetes? I mean once it affected no way to escape?
or any chance to restart the generation of insulin.. |
Name: Samson |

all the beta cells which produce insulin are probably
destroyed and there is no cure but we have now good and
effective medications. In type 2 diabetes which is the
commonest one(95% of all diabetes)we can control it
effectively.Research is going on to discover more genes
involved in diabetes and we may have a cure in the future.Let
us pray for that.Early initiation of insulin(may withdra after
some time)is one way to regenerate cells and prevent
complications. |
