Commenting on Nokia’s tie up with Malayala Manorma, Mr Kishore added “We are delighted to launch the first Nokia news portal in Malayalam in association with Kerala’s leading media house Malayala Manorama. I am confident that this application will be a phenomenal success and will revolutionize the way consumers view their daily news updates. We also believe that this will give a multi-fold adoption to GPRS services in India”.

The application supports ‘Search’ & ‘Mobile Advertising’, while making the "internet" and the “Search” facility to the non-English literate's for the first time in the country.

How to download Manorama - Nokia Mobile News Application
Users can download the Manorama Online news portal icon on their Nokia GPRS enabled handset by typing MM and sending an SMS to 55555. The user will receive a URL on their handset and can download the icon by clicking on the URL and view the latest news updates instantly which will be refreshed every 30 minutes. The application can be activated on Nokia GPRS handset such as Nokia 2626, 6233, 6300, 6131, N-72 etc. See full list of compatible handsets
