Yummy ripe bananas cooked with almonds, milk and ghee, the banana halwa is a simply ravishing delicacy.
01. Ripe Bananas - 1 kg
02. Milk - 1 glass
03. Sugar - 750 g
04. Almond essence - ½ tsp
05. Ghee - 3/4 cup
06. Almond, peeled and slivered -100 g
01. Boil the bananas. Peel and whip in a mixer with the milk.
02. Pour the mix on a non-stick pan; add the sugar followed by the essence and stir well all the while.

03. When the mix thickens, slowly add the ghee in small measures. Stir and cook till the oil oozes out from the halwa mix. Now add half the portion of almond pieces and stir.

04. Pour out the halwa mix into a greased steel tray, garnishing with the balance portion of almond pieces. Level the surface with the back of a spoon.

05. Allow to cool and set, before cutting to pieces of required size and shape.
06. The halwa remains fresh for many days when stored in an airtight container.
