Thruvananthapuram: In a bid to scientifically ascertain the socio-economic impact of Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram district where the park is located, the Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K) has been roped in.
Apart from the socio-economic impact, the study would also look into the number of indirect jobs generated in connection with the park and the range of remuneration to the workers. The study is expected to be completed in a period of six months, Technopark Senior Business Manager M Vasudevan said.
Technopark, the first ever technology parks of its kind in the country, is celebrating its 20 years of excellence in 2010. Over the two decades, the park has got expanded at regular intervals and it continues to hold the distinction of being the largest IT park in the country.
