ഡയറിക്കുറിപ്പുകൾ ഒരുക്കുമ്പോൾ : SSLC പരീക്ഷാ സഹായി ഇംഗ്ലിഷ് –1

സാങ്കൽപിക സന്ദർഭങ്ങളെ അടിസ്ഥാനപ്പെടുത്തി പാഠപുസ്തകത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഡയറി തയാറാക്കാനും ചോദ്യങ്ങളുണ്ടാകാം. പലപ്പോഴും കഥാപാത്രത്തിന്റെ ചിന്തകളെക്കുറിച്ച് എഴുതാനാണ് ആവശ്യപ്പെടാറ്. പാഠഭാഗത്തെ ഓരോ കഥാപാത്രത്തെയും കഥാഗതിയിൽ ആ കഥാപാത്രത്തിനുള്ള പ്രാധാന്യവും കുട്ടിയുടെ മനസ്സിൽ വ്യക്തമാണെങ്കിൽ മാത്രമേ ആ കഥാപാത്രത്തിന്റെ മാനസിക വ്യാപാരത്തിലൂടെ കടന്നു പോകാനാകൂ.

ഇത്തരം ചോദ്യങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉത്തരമെഴുതുമ്പോൾ ആ ദിവസം നടന്ന പ്രധാന സംഭവങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ച് ചിന്തിച്ചു നോക്കുക. ഉത്തരത്തിൽ ആ സംഭവങ്ങൾ കടന്നു വരണം എന്ന ചിന്ത കുട്ടിക്ക് ഉണ്ടാവണം. കഥാപാത്രത്തിന്റെ വികാരങ്ങൾ, ചിന്തകൾ, ഓരോ സന്ദർഭത്തിലും കഥാപാത്രം എങ്ങിനെയാവും ചിന്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടാവുക എന്നെല്ലാം ആലോചിക്കുന്നത് പൂർണതയുള്ള ഉത്തരത്തിലേക്ക് എത്താൻ സഹായിക്കും. First person narrative അഥവാ കഥാപാത്രം തന്നെ പറയുന്ന രീതിയാണ് ഇതിൽ ഉത്തരം എഴുതുമ്പോൾ അവലംബിക്കേണ്ട ശൈലി. ആശയങ്ങളെയും ഉള്ളടക്കത്തെയുമെല്ലാം അടുക്കോടെ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തുക. കഴിഞ്ഞു പോയ കാര്യങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ചാണ് എഴുതുന്നത് എന്നതിനാൽ past tense ലാണ് ഉത്തരങ്ങൾ എഴുതേണ്ടണ്ടത്.

കഥാപാത്ര ചിത്രീകരണം ഒരുക്കുമ്പോൾ

ഒരു കഥാപാത്രത്തെ വിശകലന വിധേയമാക്കുന്നതാണ് Character Sketch. നമ്മൾ തയാറാക്കുന്ന കഥാപാത്ര ചിത്രീകരണത്തിൽ നിന്ന്, കഥയിൽ ആ കഥാപാത്രത്തിനുള്ള പ്രാധാന്യം എന്താണെന്ന് വ്യക്തമാകണം. കഥാപാത്രത്തിന്റെ രൂപം, കാഴ്ചയിലെ പ്രത്യേകതകൾ എന്നിവ വർണ്ണിക്കുക. തുടർന്ന് ഓരോ കഥാപാത്രത്തിന്റെയും പെരുമാറ്റ രീതികൾ, വ്യക്തിത്വ സവിശേഷതകൾ, അവർ പിന്തുടരുന്ന രീതികൾ എന്നിവ ചേർക്കുക.

ഇത്തരത്തിലുള്ള സൂചനകളിലൂടെ ആ കഥാപാത്രം എന്താണെന്ന് വായനക്കാരന് മനസ്സിലാകണം. ആ കഥാപാത്രത്തിന് മറ്റു കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളുമായുള്ള ബന്ധവും ഓരോ സന്ദർഭത്തിലും ആ കഥാപാത്രം എങ്ങിനെ പെരുമാറി എന്നതും കഥാപാത്ര ചിത്രീകരണത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്താവുന്നതാണ്. നമ്മുടെ കാഴ്ചപ്പാടിനെ സാധൂകരിക്കുന്ന തരത്തിലുള്ള വിവരങ്ങളും സന്ദർഭങ്ങളും കഥയിൽ നിന്നു തന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തി ഉപയോഗിക്കുക.

ആസ്വാദനക്കുറിപ്പ് 

Appreciation of the poem ‘Lines written in early spring’.

 ‘Lines Written in Early Spring’ is a poem, which celebrates the relation between man and nature, written by the poet William Wordsworth. The poet rejoices in the sights and sounds of nature and at the same time laments on what man has made of man.

The poet says that while sitting reclined on a woodland grove, his mind was filled with several thoughts. While he finds solace in the nature’s beauty, the same beauty also reminds him of sad thoughts . 

He sees the primrose and periwinkle make wreaths in the bower there. He believes that every flower enjoys the air it breathes. The birds around him express their thrill of pleasure by hopping and playing in the grove. He also notices the budding twigs spread out their tender leaves to catch the breezy air. In short, the poet sees thrilling sights, hears pleasant songs in everything he looks at in the grove, and The poet could see there was joy in nature.

The speaker questions that if this is heaven and this is the holy plan of nature then what man has done to himself is really bad. Man has separated himself from such joy and is spending his time hating one another and fighting wars.

 What man has done to mankind as well as to nature makes him uneasy and unpleasant. The coexistence in perfect harmony is the holy plan of nature. Though the speaker does not understand their language and ways, he does recognize that the birds are creating all these movements out of sheer pleasure and joy. The breeze blowing is sweet and light, the twigs are spreading out as if to catch the sweet air The poet realizes that humans do all atrocities among themselves and cruelties to nature by destroying the ecosystem. They create discord and disharmony and fight and kill themselves. All these wrong-doings are against the holy plan of nature.

The poem is a six stanza poem separated into sets of four lines known as quatrains. The poem becomes much appealing because of the sublimity of its theme and beauty of lines and the abundant use of various poetic devices.  The poet uses hyperbole when he says that he heard a thousand blended notes. He addresses Nature as a person and calls it ‘her’. He makes the flowers breathe the air, and makes the tender leaves of budding twigs catch the breezy air. All these are perfect examples of Personification. A beautiful instance of the Alliteration can be seen in the line ‘What man has made of man.’
