Kakkanad is a major industrial and residential region in the city of Kochi in Kerala and houses the Cochin Special Economic Zone, Infopark, Smart City and KINFRA Export Promotion Industrial Park. It is also the administrative headquarters of the District of Ernakulam. Kakkanad is the part of Thrikkakara Municipality.  

കേരളത്തിലെ കൊച്ചി നഗരത്തിലെ ഒരു പ്രധാന വ്യാവസായിക, പാർപ്പിട മേഖലയാണ് കാക്കനാട്, കൊച്ചിൻ പ്രത്യേക സാമ്പത്തിക മേഖല, ഇൻഫോപാർക്ക്, സ്മാർട്ട് സിറ്റി, കിൻഫ്ര എക്‌സ്‌പോർട്ട് പ്രൊമോഷൻ ഇൻഡസ്ട്രിയൽ പാർക്ക് എന്നിവയുണ്ട്. എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയുടെ ഭരണ ആസ്ഥാനം കൂടിയാണിത്. കാക്കനാട് തൃക്കാക്കര മുനിസിപ്പാലിറ്റിയുടെ ഭാഗമാണ്.
