Maradu  is a fast developing region in the city of Kochi in Kerala. It was formed in May 1953 as a Grama Panchayath and was upgraded to the level of municipality in November 2010. Maradu is well connected by waterways as well. Maradu is known for the famous "Maradu Vedikkettu" in Maradu Temple.

മരട് 

എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ കൊച്ചി  നഗരത്തിൽ ഉള്ള ഒരു പ്രദേശമാണ് മരട്.  1953 ൽ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തായി രൂപകൊണ്ട മര‌ട് 2010ൽ  നഗരസഭയായി ഉയർത്തപെട്ടു. ഒ‍ട്ടനവധി ജലഗതഗത മാര്‍ഗ്ഗങ്ങളും  ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ട്.  മരട് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ  വെടിക്കെട്ട് ലോക പ്രശസ്തമാണ്.
