Chalakudy is a municipal town situated on the banks of Chalakudy River in Thrissur district of the Kerala state in India. It is the headquarters of Chalakudy taluk. It is the base camp for travellers to Athirappilly Falls and Vazhachal Falls. 

ദേശീയപാത 47-ന് അരികിലായി തൃശൂർ ജില്ലയുടെ തെക്കേ അതിർത്തിയിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു പട്ടണമാണ് ചാലക്കുടി. കേരളത്തിലെ ഒരു ലോകസഭാ മണ്ഡലം കൂടിയാണ്‌ ചാലക്കുടി. നാടൻ പാട്ടിനെ ജനകീയമാക്കിയതിൽ നിർണ്ണായക പങ്ക് വഹിച്ച ചലചിത്ര നടനായിരുന്ന കലാഭവൻ മണിയുടെ ജന്മദേശമാണ് ചാലക്കുടി.
