B Tech ബിരുദധാരികൾക്ക് M Tech പ്രവേശനത്തിനുള്ള യോഗ്യതാപരീക്ഷയാണ് GATEഎങ്കിലും Mathematcs/ statistics/ computer science/ physics/ chemistry അഥവാ മറ്റേതെങ്കിലും ശാസ്ത്രവിഷയങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയിൽ MSc ഉള്ളവർക്കും ഈ പരീക്ഷ എഴുതാൻ അവസരമുണ്ട്.
IISC ബെംഗളൂരുവിലും IIT,NIT മുതലായ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലും ശാസ്ത്രവിഷയങ്ങളിൽ PhD കോഴ്സിന് GATE മതിയായ യോഗ്യതയാണ്.
