Paravur is a town and a municipality in the Kollam Metropolitan Area of Kollam district in the Indian state of Kerala. Paravur railway station is the last station in Kollam district which is on the route to Trivandrum while travelling towards South India. Paravur Municipality consists of Kottapuram, Koonayil, Thekkumbhagam, Chillakkal, Perumpuzha, Nedungolam, Pozhikara, Maniyamkulam, Kurumandal, Kottamoola, Attinpuram & Kochalummoodu.
കടലും ഇത്തിക്കര കായലും പൊഴി മുഖാന്തരം ഒന്നുചേരുന്ന ഒരു തീരപ്രദേശമാണ് പരവൂർ. ഒരു പ്രധാന മത്സ്യബന്ധനകേന്ദ്രവും കയറുല്പാദനകേന്ദ്രവുമാണ് ഇത്. കൂടാതെ ഒരു പ്രധാന വിനോദസഞ്ചാരകേന്ദ്രവും. കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയുടെ തെക്ക് പടിഞ്ഞാറായി സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നു.
