Aluva also known by its former name Alwaye is a region in the city of Kochi in Kerala.  It is also a part of the Kochi metropolitan area and is situated around 15 km from the city center on the banks of Periyar River. A major transportation hub, with easy access to all major forms of transportation, Aluva acts as a corridor which links the highland districts to the rest of Kerala.

ആലുവ, കേരളത്തിലെ കൊച്ചി നഗരത്തിലെ ഒരു പ്രദേശമാണ് ആലുവ മുൻപ്  ആൽവേ എന്നാണ് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. കൊച്ചി മെട്രോപൊളിറ്റൻ പ്രദേശത്തിന്‍റ ഒരു ഭാഗം കൂടിയായ ഇത് സിറ്റി സെന്ററിൽ നിന്ന് ഏകദേശം 15 കിലോമീറ്റർ പെരിയാർ നദിയുടെ തീരത്താണ് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. എല്ലാ പ്രധാന ഗതാഗത മാർഗ്ഗങ്ങളിലേക്കും എളുപ്പത്തിൽ എത്തിച്ചേരാവുന്ന ഒരു പ്രധാന ഗതാഗത കേന്ദ്രമായ ആലുവ ഉയർന്ന പ്രദേശങ്ങളെ കേരളത്തിന്റെ മറ്റ് ഭാഗങ്ങളുമായി ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഇടനാഴിയായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു.
